Safety meets style with our new LED taillight trays for all R129 Mercedes SL roadsters. These fit every model of R129 from 1989-2002.
Complete Plug & Play Set: A complete set of OEM taillights outfitted with our LEDs ready to be installed on the vehicle.
Commissioned Build: You send your taillights to us, we perform the modifications, install the LEDs, and ship them back to you ready to be installed on the vehicle.
DIY LED Trays: pre-wired LED trays that fit inside the factory taillight lens (after modification) and splice into the factory wiring harness. You perform the necessary modifications and install the LEDs yourself. All instructions are included.
These LEDs convert all taillight functions to LED. This includes the running lights, brake lights, turn signals, reverse lights, and rear fog lights.
If you simply replace the factory taillight bulbs with LEDs you will get a dash warning light and hyper-flashing turn signals. We have cleverly designed circuits that avoid these issues and maintain seamless factory functionality. All lights behave exactly as they should. Every tray is also equipped with a rear fog light to comply with any local laws, in any country.
Not only do they look great, these LEDs outperform the factory taillights in every way and make your beloved R129 more visible to distracted drivers. These are both an upgrade in aesthetics and in safety.
The LED trays are available for both Pre-Facelift (4 bar) and Facelift (3 bar) lenses. Either version of lens can be installed on any R129, but the trays are specific to each version so please select according to the version of lens you plan on using.
Both versions can now be ordered with either red or orange turn signals.
All versions now have the red wraparound running lights.
The installation process involves removing plastic from inside the factory lenses with a Dremel/rotary tool, removing the connector from the factory bulb tray, stripping & crimping wires from that connector to interface with the LEDs, and painting the outside of the lenses to achieve a uniform color - if desired.
