1994-98 Mercedes SL320 M104 High Flow Cold Air Intake (Filter Relocation)

Bolt-on performance for 1994-1998 R129 Mercedes SL320. Does not fit 3.0 liter or V6 engines.

This kit is ideal for those running tubular exhaust manifolds that don't have space for an air filter in the factory location. Some vehicles will also require MAF harness extension so the wires have length to reach the other side.

This system utilizes a custom Luftkraft upper pipe to relocate the air filter to the intake side of the engine and maintain a 3-inch (76mm) equivalent internal diameter all the way to the throttle body. 

The relocation results in more steady intake temperatures, especially when sitting in traffic, and better airflow/cooling for the exhaust side of the engine which improves under hood temperatures. The upper pipe includes ports to redirect PCV fumes back to the intake, and a temperature sensor bung for the early 320's, just like the factory design. 

This kit features a genuine AFE Power MagnumFlow Dry S air filter that provides more surface area than the factory air filter, and has a more efficient design. The material itself outflows the factory filter media and offers 99.2% filtration efficiency. This is a dry element filter, no oil to damage your MAF sensor. Wash, dry, and reuse every 5-10k miles. 

This kit also features a LUFTKRAFT custom MAF adapter that utilizes the factory O-ring and original mounting screws to ensure an airtight seal and factory fit. (not in pics yet)

All plastic parts are constructed from PA12-Carbon Fiber for superior heat resistance, chemical resistance, and strength.

This kit also utilizes a custom grill duct that maximizes the amount of air the filter can access through the grill. This duct is more than double the size of the factory air box inlet, and has a full 4" tube to ensure the air filter never runs out of fresh, outside air. Comparison to factory in pictures.
